Privacy Policy

Information You Provide

You may use the camera experience without creating a HUMAN profile. If you choose to create or manage a HUMAN, the app may collect:

• Profile photo and name.
• Selected category and voice style.
• AI-generated or user-edited biography, personality qualities, subcategory, and visual connections.
• Optional phone number and optional public online link supplied during profile generation.
• A management password and recovery code used to protect profile management.
• Images, text, and optional location that you choose to submit for app features.

HUMAN profiles are designed to be publicly discoverable inside the app. Information saved to a HUMAN profile—including its profile photo, name, profile details, and any optional contact information you choose to publish—may be visible to other users. Do not add information that you do not want to make public.

Camera Images and Reference Images

Camera images are processed to provide the selected Perspective, Conversation, Novel, and related contextual features. They may be transmitted to our server and AI service providers for analysis. The app does not save these temporary camera images in the HUMAN profile database.

When creating a HUMAN, you may submit 3–10 reference images so AI can generate profile details. These reference images are used for that generation request and are discarded by the app after analysis. They are not saved as part of the HUMAN profile. A public profile photo is stored only when you intentionally create or update a HUMAN.

Information Collected Automatically

The app may create a pseudonymous device identifier in your browser to remember selections, support reactions and usage continuity, and maintain basic service operations. We use Google Analytics to understand visits and general usage, which may process information such as page views, approximate location, device and browser information, IP address, and analytics identifiers or cookies. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, request time, error logs, and security information.

The app does not request government-issued identity documents and does not use camera images for biometric identification.

Optional Location

Location is optional. When you choose to provide it, the app uses it to improve locally relevant context, news, and possible connections. The app does not require continuous background location access.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create, display, manage, and share HUMAN profiles.
• Analyze submitted images and text and generate app responses.
• Provide Perspective, Conversation, Novel, voice, news, and connection features.
• Remember user-selected settings and maintain service continuity.
• Protect profiles, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and secure the service.
• Improve app reliability and performance.

We do not sell personal information.

AI, Cloud, and Search Service Providers

To operate the app, submitted data may be processed by service providers that support hosting, database storage, AI analysis, search and current-news retrieval, security, and related infrastructure. These providers may include Render, Supabase, OpenAI, Google Analytics, and search or news data providers used to return requested results.

We share only the information reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature, operate the service, or meet legal and security obligations. Provider processing is also governed by the applicable provider’s terms and privacy practices.

Passwords and Security

HUMAN management passwords are hashed before storage and are not returned by the app. Recovery codes are shown during creation and protected using a hash for later verification. Please keep your password and recovery code private.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

Saved HUMAN profile data is retained while the profile remains active. Temporary camera and reference images are not intentionally retained in the HUMAN profile database after their requested analysis. Limited technical logs may be retained as reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance, and troubleshooting.

You can delete a HUMAN from the Manage HUMAN flow using its management password or recovery code. Deletion removes the profile from the active app database. Limited backup or provider records may remain temporarily until normal backup, security, or legal-retention periods expire.

Your Choices

• You may decline camera or location permission.
• You may choose not to create a HUMAN.
• You may omit optional phone and online-link information.
• You may manage or delete your HUMAN using its credentials.
• You may clear locally stored app data through your browser or device settings.

Children’s Privacy

CHANG TIEN CHIEH HUMAN SHELTER is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

International Processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and provider commitments for international data processing.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, our service providers, or legal requirements change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
